What a boring game the Eagles played on Sunday.
They beat the Cleveland Browns 20-16, but god, what a boring game.
It would have been nice to completely blow out the Browns like four other teams have this year; of course, the Eagles couldn’t do that.
They haven’t won a game by double-digits since their win over the Dolphins (sorry, Dirt) on October 22nd last year (31-17).
Like anything with this team though, the main talking point wasn’t about the game itself — it was about the clown that the Eagles employ to be their head coach.
The same clown that decided to talk smack to his own fans. Mind you, he coaches in Philadelphia where the fans are not your typical “fans.”
He then decides to use his kids as a meat shield much like how Deadpool uses Nicepool as a shield against the multiverses of Deadpools (shoutout my coworker Mike for the reference.)
I am never a guy that will root for his own team to lose. I won’t even root against WVU football when their own clown of a coach told his fans that having a good time is more important than winning (more on that in another post!)
HOWEVER, I found myself on Sunday watching the Eagles game, and late into the fourth quarter, I thought to myself, “If they lose, it’s another nail in Sirianni’s coffin…I wouldn’t be upset with that.”
This is a terrible place to be as a fan.

I seriously can’t take the incompetence of the head coaches of teams that I support.
In earlier Philly Reports, I made it known that I’ve soured on Nick ever since their collapse last season, but I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Well, here we are at 3-2 with our record clearly coming in spite of him.
The Eagles fanbase’s feelings stem from the fact that Nick’s coaching has been subpar with player regression becoming more and more evident.
Though his well-known fiery personality was closer to a preference than a knock against him, the lack of morale and discipline in his teams really made the fanbase turn on a guy that already rubbed people the wrong way.
Now, he decided to make his personality be a reason why he shouldn’t have a job. If you, dear reader, don’t know what I’m talking about:
Go on Twitter and just type “Nick Sirianni” into your search bar. There, you will find a video from the FOX broadcast of the game where our head coach goes over to the stands and screams at his OWN FANS.
This is Philadelphia we’re talking about.
We are the best fans in the world, but I know we aren’t the most cheerful bunch. All we want is the team to do everything they can to win and give all their effort.
When we clearly see one of our teams not doing that and see them play with a lack of effort, we are going to let you know what we think of that.
Case in point, this past Sunday. The Eagles dominated the entire first half, yet they were headed to the locker room tied at 10.
The Eagles could have put it away but decided to let the Browns hang around. Instead of controlling the clock and using your prized offseason signing Saquon Barkley, you opted to pass more.
With that in mind, I’d say the fans had the right to boo their coach who wasn’t coaching well.
After eventually winning the game 20-16 against a terrible team, you then decided to jaw back at the fans?
THEN, you bring your own kids into your press conference you have to be a part of so they can be used to deter journalists from asking tough questions? What a cowardly move. An utter embarrassment.
I don’t care if he apologized — it will fall on deaf ears.
I don’t care that Nick has a great winning percentage with a playoff appearance every year during his tenure alongside an NFC title and a Super Bowl visit.
All that will be remembered of his tenure is that image of him screaming at his own fans after getting a win against a terrible team. The Eagles under Jeffrey Lurie have been a really steady and successful organization.
The move to keep Nick — hoping he can right the ship — is growing from a mere blot to a stain on Lurie’s record. He should pull the plug sooner rather than later.
A coaching vacancy in Philadelphia will be the best job on the market by far. You would be able to get virtually any candidate you’d want. I’d start making up a coaching board…heaven knows all Eagles fans are doing the same.

Jalen had a good game and didn’t turn the ball over.
AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith are prime examples of why wideouts get paid as much as they do: they are complete game-wreckers and raise the floor and ceiling of the Eagles’ offense. Saquon touched the ball on the ground 18 times. It didn’t feel like it.
The defensive line finally came alive, albeit against a beat-up Cleveland O-Line. The Eagles’ use of mesh is great and leads to big things (keep using it, Moore.)
Cooper DeJean shouldn’t lose the nickel corner starting spot again. He was all over the field. The rest of the NFC East lost while the Birds made up ground.

The Eagles travel up to Metlife next week to take on the Giants for the first time this season which means it’s the return of Saquon Barkley to the team that drafted him.
It will be loud. There will be boos, yet there is no reason the Eagles shouldn’t win. Barkley needs 25 carries minimum and at least 2 TDs.
The game plan HAS to be about him. Get the Quadfather going to open up the rest of the offense for some play-action passes that will surely lead to some Brown and Smitty magic.
Perfect game to go back to wearing my Barkley jersey. Don’t screw this up, Nick.
